Palcoyo & Ananiso Canyon

We leave early this morning for a unique adventure in the Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain Range, a less-frequented alternative to Vinicunca, offering stunning landscapes of colorful mountains in shades of red, ochre, and violet.

Before beginning our hike, we will stop at the spectacular Stone Forest, a fascinating geological site with impressive rock formations. We will then embark on a scenic hike, mostly downhill, to the village of Ananiso. During this 4-hour hike, we will enjoy incredible views of the majestic Ausangate Mountain Range, one of Peru’s most impressive peaks.

Before arriving at the village of Ananiso, we will take a well-deserved break to enjoy lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, we will explore the fascinating Ananiso Canyon, a geological wonder millions of years old.

Finally, we will return to the village, where our driver will be waiting for us.
