Sondor Community
At Xtreme Tourbulencia, we have the privilege of providing strong support to a local community, focusing on the development of skills in textiles and production of native dye plants.
Our association with this community is based on our commitment to the preservation of ancient dyeing techniques and the appreciation of natural resources. We work side by side with community members, sharing knowledge and traditional dyeing techniques using native plants.
Through our training programs, we seek to strengthen local skills in textiles and the production of natural dyes. We pass on the knowledge of how to select, harvest, and process native plants to obtain high-quality dyes and vibrant colors. In addition, we teach the proper dyeing techniques to achieve unique and authentic designs on fabrics.
In addition to textiles, our collaboration extends to the production of native dye plants. We recognize the importance of these plants in the creation of natural dyes and their value in environmental sustainability. Through training programs, we share knowledge about the responsible cultivation, care, and harvesting of these plants, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and the conscious use of natural resources.

Green Project
As a travel agency committed to environmental conservation, we carry out an important project called “Proyecto Verde”. This project’s main objective is the reforestation and restoration of degraded natural areas.
Green Project: Restoring Peru’s Ecosystems
Our "Green Project" is dedicated to the reforestation and restoration of degraded natural areas. In collaboration with local communities and environmental experts, we plant native species to recover vital ecosystems like Andean forests and coastal zones, ensuring biodiversity through sustainable maintenance.
Beyond planting, we prioritize environmental education. We host community workshops and establish strategic alliances to foster a culture of conservation. By traveling with us, you support a certified commitment to protecting natural resources and expanding the impact of global reforestation efforts.

ATIPAQ: Empowerment and Sustainability
ATIPAQ is an NGO dedicated to the sustainable development and well-being of local communities. Beyond improving conditions for Inca Trail porters, they promote education and cultural preservation through textile training and traditional trades. Their environmental efforts include reforestation and biodiversity conservation in close collaboration with local residents.
A key pillar of ATIPAQ is gender equity, empowering women to take leadership roles in community projects. Through our partnership with ATIPAQ, Xtreme Tourbulencia guarantees that your journey directly supports ethical tourism. Choosing to travel with us creates a tangible positive impact, helping preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the Inca Trail for future generations.
