SOCIAL PROJECTS: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES, PRESERVING TRADITIONS

Our commitment to Cusco extends far beyond tourism; it is about creating a lasting, positive impact. Through our Social Projects, we partner with local communities like Sondor to preserve ancestral textile traditions and natural dyeing techniques. Additionally, our "Green Project" drives essential reforestation efforts across Andean ecosystems. In alliance with the ATIPAQ NGO, we champion porters' well-being, gender equality, and ethical labor standards, ensuring your adventure directly supports sustainable development and empowers the people of Peru.

SONDOR COMMUNITY

At Xtreme Tourbulencia, we support a local community by developing textile skills and producing native dye plants, focusing on preserving ancient techniques and valuing natural resources. Through collaborative training programs, we share traditional knowledge on selecting, harvesting, and processing native plants to create high-quality, vibrant dyes and authentic fabric designs.

Additionally, our partnership promotes environmental sustainability. We provide education on the responsible cultivation and care of these dye plants, encouraging sustainable agricultural practices and the conscious use of natural resources. This joint effort not only preserves rich cultural traditions but also strengthens local capacities and protects the environment.

GREEN PROJECT

As a travel agency committed to environmental conservation, we carry out an important project called “Proyecto Verde”. This project’s main objective is the reforestation and restoration of degraded natural areas.

Green Project: Restoring Peru’s Ecosystems
Our "Green Project" is dedicated to the reforestation and restoration of degraded natural areas. In collaboration with local communities and environmental experts, we plant native species to recover vital ecosystems like Andean forests and coastal zones, ensuring biodiversity through sustainable maintenance. Beyond planting, we prioritize environmental education. We host community workshops and establish strategic alliances to foster a culture of conservation. By traveling with us, you support a certified commitment to protecting natural resources and expanding the impact of global reforestation efforts.
